Mr Rhodes

Mr Rhodes is a Bundjalung rapper, producer and songwriter from Lismore, NSW — one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Australian hip-hop. He began his career as a solo artist and founding member of hip-hop trio Teddy Lewis King, performed at the Sydney Opera House and Falls Festival, and has spent years teaching hip-hop workshops to young people in the Northern Rivers through programs including Rekindling the Spirit.

A 2022 recipient of the NATSIMO x Abbey Road Institute Scholarship and named a Ticketmaster Breakthrough Artist in 2024, Mr Rhodes builds his music around a golden-age hip-hop foundation with a distinctly modern sensibility — soul samples, live keys, scratching and rhymes that move between smooth and staunch with ease. His 2025 collaborative album Rhode House, made with Sydney producer Reyne House, is boom-bap at its most playful and assured.

His live show — a trio featuring DJ Mud on scratches and Art Pleasley on keys — takes the audience on a sonic journey across genres and worlds.
