David Versace

David Versace is an Australian multi-genre keyboardist, composer and producer based in Meanjin (Brisbane, QLD). Growing up in a musical household, his sound ranges freely across jazz, samba, ambient electronics and dancefloor-ready house — what he calls 'Brazilian jazz, latin, tech house and ambient' in equal measure. He is also a member of Meanjin nu-jazz dance outfit First Beige.

Since 2019 he has self-released around 20 tracks, building a devoted following among record collectors and selectors across Australia and overseas. His debut solo album Okra, released in 2022 through La Sape Records, was followed by the EP Eye To Eye in 2024 — featuring his core rhythm section of drums, trumpet and congas and photographed by Sampology's Sam Poggioli. His music has earned him spots alongside Horatio Luna, Natasha Diggs and Tenderlonious.

His latest release Bush Bounce x GK Tropicana (2025) continues his restless exploration of rhythm and texture. Versatile and joyful, David Versace is one to watch.
